Product Description
There are basically two kinds of iPod books: (1) The "tell me all about it" kind, which includes in-depth discussions on compression algorithms, debates about analog vs. digital equalizers; and tutorials on how to export your playlist in Unicode format. (2) There's this book. It's not a "tell me all about it" book, it’s a "show me how to do it" book. Award-winning author Scott Kelby shows you step-by-step how it's all done, using the same casual, plain-English style that has made him one of the world's best-selling technology authors. You'll learn how to do only the most important, most requested, and just plain cool things you're going to want to do with your iPod–so you can start having fun with it today. Right now! Each page covers just one topic, complete with full color photos, making it easy to find just what you're looking for fast. Plus, it shows you how to get the most from the iTunes Music Store, how to integrate your iPod into your car, which iPod accessories are hot, how to use photos with your iPod, and everything you need to know about the latest addition to the iPod family, the new iPod Nano! It's all here–in the only book of its kind–and you're gonna love it!

Just OK March 5, 2008 Angela S. Ando (Marietta, Georgia United States) 0 out of 5 found this review helpful
This book could have been more helpful if the author had kept his attempt at humor down to a dull roar and actually explain things a little more clearly. In the end, I just called itunes and figured stuff out on my own.
From novice to expert January 14, 2008 Barry T. Smith (Melbourne Australia) The iPod Book: Doing Cool Stuff with the iPod and the iTunes Music Store (2nd Edition)Having purchased quit a few Scott Kelby books and not even knowing how to turn an ipod on,I once again put my trust in Scott for my introduction into the world of ipod. True to form, Scott, along with his usual humour and plain instructional writing, I can now mix with the experts in ipod technology. A very good easy read.

Great starter book July 7, 2007 Jim Bo (Upper New York State) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great book, if you never had an Ipod before. Covers the basics simply and easily. If you have any basic questions, buy this book USED, get some great tips, and be ahead of the game with the tips from the book and not the cost of a new book.
For the very new iPod owner. April 5, 2007 Van1 (OH) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
